Red/Black Squad

Entry requirements for Red/Black squad:
  • Demonstrate 20m FC with Bi Lateral Breathing
  • Demonstrate 20m BK
  • Demonstrate 20m BR Kick
  • Demonstrate 10m Fly Kick
  • Demonstrate a Dive
  • Attempt a Forward Roll in the Water

Equipment Requirements for Red Squad
KickBoard, Pull buoy, Short Training Fins and water bottle


Equipment Requirements for Black Squad

KickBoard, Pull buoy, Short Training Fins, Front Snorkel, Hand Paddles and water bottle

Minimum 2 sessions per week / attendance at individual and league galas throughout the year (See below for targeted individual galas for 2017/18)


Bronze 2 Squad

Entry requirements for Bronze 2 squad:

  • Successful Completion of Black Squad Goals
  • Invitation by Squad Coach

Equipment Requirements for Bronze 2

KickBoard, Finis Alignment Kickboard, Pull buoy, Short Training Fins, Hand Paddles, Front Snorkel, tennis ball and water bottle

Minimum 3 sessions per week / attendance at 3 individual Meets per year

Bronze 1 Squad

Entry requirements for Bronze 1 squad

  • Invitation by Squad Coach
  • Previous Squad Expectations Met

Entry requirements for Silver Squad 


  • Successful Completion of Bronze 1
  • Invitation by Squad Coach
  • Agree To Attend Land Training​
  • Previous Squad Expectations Met

Land Training Sessions

Land Training sessions are available for Age 12 and over on Monday evening and for Age 12 and under on Thursday evening.  These sessions count towards the weekly minimum and are aimed at developing flexibility, core strength, strength and conditioning and explosive power which are all essential components to going from a great swimmer to an excellent swimmer.
